More About the Heart

The story about heart surgery continues, as complications occurred. They were overcome, however, and I'm still on the recovery road. Thanks to so many who sent their good wishes.

June 3

Shortly after sending out lots of cheery emails and a blog entry
saying my heart operation was a success,
I found myself in the emergency ward
with arrythmia and a transient (fortunately) ischemic attack.

So I spent last week, from thursday to thursday,
in the Heart Institute,
having many tests
and getting medication
to stabilize the heartbeat and
thin the blood to keep any clots from forming
in the case of another arrythmia episode does occur.

Currently stable and back on recovery road.

The yogamontreal website is languishing through this,
but as my strength returns,
the many updates
and improvements I have in mind
will start to flow again.
Also writing and translation are still on hold
and it will be many weeks before
I can teach yoga again
...

Tonight I lie awake, afraid to sleep
listening to my heart obssessively
or just weary,
and the best tonic
I can think of
is to call into mind
one after another
of the
beautiful people who have sent me their best wishes
by email, by psychic ether
in prayers and meditation...
and sending it back
into the universe
wrapped in my love
and thanks.
